Ch. 4604: Married At First Sight Chapter 4604

Chapter 4604

But the truth was, Romina had signed that agreement—and it was in black and white. She couldn’t back out now. She had no choice but to tough it out for the month.

“How did I trap you?” River countered. “Weren’t you the one who teased me, flirted with me, and then walked away like it meant nothing? In front of all those people, you practically threw yourself at me—hugging me, kissing me, touching me. That wasn’t my idea. Maddox tried to stop you that night. He told you not to drink more and even offered to take you home, but you insisted on messing with me.

“Everyone saw it. Now people think we’re involved, and my reputation’s taken a hit. It’s harder for me to find someone to marry. So really, arranging these blind dates? That’s your way of making up for it. I never forced you.”

Romina’s face turned red and black with frustration.

He wasn’t wrong.

She’d done this to herself.

Setting the bouquet on the table, she said sharply, “Alright, enough. I’m not taking it. You can take it back.”

River crossed his arms. “Too late. I already delivered it. If you really don’t want it, throw it away. Just so you know, there’s an expensive necklace tucked under the flowers.”

Romina glared. “Do you think I won’t throw it out?”

River smiled. “Oh, I know you will. I didn’t say you wouldn’t. I’m just saying… that bouquet cost me a fortune. It’s from the heart. You know, this is the first time I’ve ever given a girl money. It’s meaningful to me. If you throw it away, I’ll be really sad.”

Romina muttered under her breath, “I’m not your girlfriend. Why are you giving me money?”

River caught that.

“You could be my girlfriend,” he said seriously. “I’d give you money every day—spend whatever you want, no questions asked.”

Romina rolled her eyes. “Who wants your money? I’ve got plenty of my own.”

River replied, “I know you’re rich. But you’ve never spent money someone else gave you. Just try it. Spend your husband’s money for once. What’s the point of saving it for someone else?”

“River!”

Romina’s face darkened again. “Don’t push it!”

Now he was really crossing the line.

They weren’t even dating, and here he was talking about marriage.

River grinned. “Romina, I think you’re beautiful—and honestly, you’re a great match for me. We’re close in age, we’re both single. Let’s just date. What do you think? I’ve got the looks, the status, the education—who else in Eaglioncile can even compare?”

He was confident. Maybe too confident.

Romina scolded, “River, can you be serious for once?”

“I am serious,” River said calmly. “I’m not joking at all.”

Romina opened her mouth to respond but didn’t know what to say.

They stared at each other.

She looked helpless and slightly angry.

He smiled softly, his expression full of emotion.

Romina finally said, “River, I’m busy. I don’t have time for your games. Take your money and go. And don’t forget—we’re business rivals!”
