Ch. 4657: Married At First Sight Chapter 4657
Chapter 4657
âLetâs just wait and see,â Nancy said. âI havenât confessed yet. I need to be more confidentâmaybe I still have a chance with him.â
Her best friend encouraged her, âExactly. Donât give up yet. I believe you can win Trenton over. Go for it. Since he said heâd pick you up tonight and take you to dinner, just act normal. Pretend like nothing happened and enjoy dinner with him.â
Nancy smiled. âI know.â
She had kept her feelings deeply hidden all this time. Trenton probably didnât even realize she loved him.
Meanwhile, at Wildridge Manor, by the indoor swimming pool, Serenity and several of her sisters-in-law sat along the edge, watching their husbands teaching the kids to swim.
The kidsâMaverick, Colson, Colton, and little Miloâwere splashing around in the shallow end with lifebuoys. The weather was scorching hot, and the children had begged to play in the water that afternoon.
Serenity had asked her husband to take their son for a swim and help him learn.
Their fathers watched closely, never leaving the boys unattended, ready to act the moment someone swallowed water or slipped.
âElisa,â Camryn said, sitting purposely beside her.
Elisa turned and smiled. âWhatâs up? Youâve been eyeing me ever since your walk with your husband. Looks like youâve got something private to say.â
Leaning in playfully, she whispered, âTell meâI promise I wonât spill a word. You know I can keep a secret.â
Camryn chuckled. âItâs not gossip. No need to lean in like that.â
Elisa grinned. âEven better! I like non-gossip too. So, what is it?â
âI want you to help me look into someone,â Camryn replied.
âWho? A man or a woman? If itâs a guy, Camryn, Iâm out. Donât drag me into thatâI donât want your Callum coming after me. Heâd skin me alive if he thought I was helping you dig up info on some guy.â
They both laughed. All of their husbands were overprotective and quick to get jealous.
Thinking of her own husband Remy, Elisa sighed inwardlyâheâd picked up the same domineering streak from spending time with Zachary and the rest.
âDonât worry,â Camryn said, amused. âItâs a girlâNancy. She was my brother Trentonâs college classmate. Now she works at your Stone Group and is already a mid-level manager.â
âNancy?â Elisa frowned. âThat name sounds familiar. Since sheâs in my company, Iâve probably heard of her. Itâs impressive to make it to middle management just three or four years out of college. Is she... someone Trenton likes?â
Camryn nodded. âYes. Trenton likes her. She asked if he could bring her to visit our villa. I turned him downâmainly for the kidsâ safety. Since I donât know her, I couldnât allow it.â
Elisa agreed, âYou did the right thing. Your brotherâs social status is significant. Since she works in our company, she probably knows that already.â
