Ch. 4752: Married At First Sight Chapter 4752
Chapter 4752
Livia ran up to Serenity. “Auntie, I want a hug too.”
“Of course, sweetheart.” Serenity shifted Belle to one arm and scooped up Livia with the other.
Livia peeked at her cousin. “Belle’s asleep.”
“Yes,” Serenity said softly. “Your sister’s worn out. Are you sleepy too? Do you want Auntie to take you back for a nap?”
But Livia’s eyes were on her brother in the stream. “Auntie, I want my big brother.”
Serenity turned and called out, “Then let’s get him out of the water. Sonny, Baby—you’ve been playing long enough. Come on out. Livia wants you.”
Sonny hesitated. He was having so much fun. He almost asked for more time—until he heard Livia wanted him. Without another thought, he swam straight to the shore.
The nannies started rounding up their charges. The older kids came first, the younger ones followed. Towels were wrapped around shivering little bodies, and dry clothes replaced wet ones in no time.
The old lady shook her head at Serenity. “You should’ve waited to come back. See? They barely had time to play before you called them out.”
Serenity grinned. “Grandma, look at their hands and feet—they’re all wrinkled from soaking too long. You’re the one indulging them.”
She guessed most of them had been in the water for over an hour. Sonny was the last to join in, so he hadn’t been there as long.
The old lady’s eyes twinkled. “Let them play their hearts out. That way, they won’t sneak off next time.”
She reached out. “Belle, let Grandma hold you.”
But Serenity shook her head. “Better let the nanny do it. Belle may be small, but she’s heavy. You’ll wear yourself out.”
The old lady huffed playfully. “Seren, you think Grandma’s old and useless now?”
“How could I ever think that?” Serenity said with a laugh. “I just don’t want you getting tired.” She softened her voice, coaxing, “Come on, Grandma. Let’s head back to the villa. I’ll take a walk with you.”
The old lady brightened. “Only if you make me those snacks I love.”
“Deal,” Serenity said with a smile. “I’ll make them as soon as we’re home.”
That earned her a delighted grin.
Serenity couldn’t help but laugh quietly. People always said the elderly were like children—and it was true. Grandma was no exception.
Sonny came over and carefully lifted Livia out of Serenity’s arms. The little girl wrapped her arms around his neck and mumbled, “Brother, I missed you. You went to play without me.”
“I didn’t go play,” Sonny said, laughing. “I went to Dad’s house for dinner. Come on, I’ll take you back.”
“Auntie,” he added, “I’ll take Livia up the mountain.”
Serenity hesitated. “Are you sure? It’s a long walk. She’s so little—she’ll get tired.”
Driving up from the base of the mountain to the villa didn’t take long, but walking uphill? That was a twenty-minute hike at least—longer with kids.
“Auntie Seren, we’ve got this,” Titus chimed in. “Sonny and I will take turns carrying her. We’ll walk.”
He was the same age as Sonny, but taller and stronger from years of martial arts training.
With both boys insisting, Serenity let them go.
Livia wasn’t worried about getting tired—she trusted her big brother completely.
Serenity held her sleeping daughter and escorted the old lady to the car. They’d drive back up while the boys tackled the hike on foot.
