Ch. 4792: Married At First Sight Chapter 4792

Chapter 4792

By now it was already ten in the morning. Usually, doctors did rounds right after shift change. Even if they lingered with other patients, they would have come by this time.

If Dr. Pollock hadn’t shown up, then either she was on leave or she was on the night shift.

Alex muttered in a low voice, “Why didn’t Dr. Pollock tell me she was off? I’ve been waiting here for two hours, and she still hasn’t come.”

The butler: “…”

The tone of his young master’s words carried more than simple impatience.

Could it be that Alex had actually taken a liking to Dr. Pollock during his stay here?

The butler thought about her. Aitana wasn’t a stunning beauty, but she was attractive—pleasant to the eye with a round, soft face that gave off a blessed, warm look. Personally, he preferred round faces too. Maybe the Eighth Young Master shared his taste?

More than that, Dr. Pollock was gentle and good-natured. She treated patients with patience and kindness, answering every question from them and their families. No wonder she was so well-liked in the ward.

Just then, two nurses approached.

“Mr. York, your dressings need to be changed today,” one said with a sweet smile.

Since Alex had been admitted, the nurses had practically competed to come by his room—to change his dressings, give IVs, or accompany doctors on rounds.

The reason was simple: Mr. York was too handsome.

And on top of that, some had already discovered his true identity—the Eighth Young Master of the York family, the wealthiest clan in Wiltspoon. Every young master in that family was a catch, and all of them were heartbreakingly handsome.

The rumors were true.

Alex and his brothers were indeed dream lovers for countless women. No wonder the nurses treated him with extra care and patience.

“Oh, okay.” Alex didn’t dare directly ask about Aitana, so he simply returned to the ward and let the nurses tend to him.

His condition had improved. He no longer needed IV drips, and the pain wasn’t as bad.

As one nurse worked on his dressing, Alex asked casually, “Why didn’t I see Dr. Pollock today?”

“She’s on night shift,” the nurse explained cheerfully. “She’ll be here in the evening.”

Alex’s lips curved faintly. “So she’s on night shift. I thought she was on leave.”

That meant she would come for rounds at 8 p.m. He’d get to see her then.

Over the days of his stay, he’d already made a good impression on her. Though Aitana was busy and he wasn’t a critical patient, she had visited in the beginning. Once he no longer needed IV drips, his chances to see her shrank to just the daily rounds.

Because he wanted to see her more, he often lingered by the door after she finished with his ward, just to watch her moving in and out of other rooms.

So this… this must be what it feels like to fall in love.

Alex missed her whenever she wasn’t around. If he didn’t see her, he thought of her day and night.

He even went as far as to learn about her background. Aitana came from a family of doctors. Nearly everyone in her family—and even among her relatives—was a physician, whether in traditional medicine or Western practice.
