Ch. 4961: Married At First Sight Chapter 4961

Chapter 4961

Aitana knew all about it. She had never accepted Joaquin’s feelings, and once she learned he had shady ties with nurses at his clinic, there was no way she could ever choose him.

“Dr. Legare has already lost,” Alex said calmly. “Unless he stoops to something as low as forcing her—which he won’t—he’ll never win her. Aitana is mine. And if he ever dares disrespect her, I won’t let him off easily.”

In Alex’s eyes, Joaquin was rational enough not to ruin his future over love. Still, Alex kept watch. If Joaquin crossed the line even once, he would appear instantly to protect her.

Hearing her grandson’s confidence, the old lady finally relaxed. “Good. My granddaughter-in-law won’t be snatched away.”

Alex gave her a helpless look. “Grandma, do you really not trust your grandson that much? How could someone take away the woman I’ve chosen? This is my lifelong happiness we’re talking about.”

York men were loyal to the core—once they loved, they loved for life. No matter how difficult the pursuit, they never backed down. And if they failed? They would rather stay single forever than love someone else.

Alex continued, his voice steady. “Dr. Legare is smart. He won’t do anything foolish. He’s torn, that’s all. He’s loved her for years—letting go isn’t easy. He’s trying to give it one last shot, but deep down, he knows the truth. If he were confident, he wouldn’t have come to talk to me.”

Rivals who initiated conversations were the ones doubting themselves—that was a battlefield truth.

The old lady chuckled proudly. “Well, when faced with a rival like my grandson, it’s no wonder he’s shaken. Alright, Grandma won’t worry anymore. I’m going to bed. And don’t you dare wake up at dawn just to cook breakfast for me. I’ll eat at your big brother’s house.”

Alex blinked. “So my sister-in-law’s cooking tomorrow?”

Grandma huffed. “Of course not! With your brother there, Seren doesn’t need to lift a finger. Grandma just doesn’t want you exhausting yourself.”

With so many men in the York family, having a granddaughter-in-law felt like striking gold. She treasured them like precious daughters; how could she let them toil?

Alex suddenly remembered. “Wait—Grandma, aren’t you going for a checkup tomorrow? You’ll need to fast. I’ll prepare breakfast and keep it warm in the car. You can eat right after the tests.”

The old lady smacked her forehead and laughed. “That’s right! Look at me—getting forgetful.”

Alex softened. “For your age, your memory is still amazing. Better than most.”

She waved him off. “Then it’s settled. And tell Seren tomorrow that I won’t head home in the morning. Ask your brother to take Belle to the company or stay home with her for half a day.”

In her mind, taking time off to care for a child was a grandson’s job, not a granddaughter-in-law’s. Daughters-in-law were career women—they shouldn’t be held back.

Let the grandsons learn childcare. Only then would they understand how exhausting it really was—and appreciate their wives more.

After all, raising a child was far more tiring than anyone who hadn’t done it could ever imagine.
