Ch. 5145: Married At First Sight Chapter 5145
Chapter 5145
“Yes, Mom loves my older sister more,” Fabian complained indignantly. “It’s because I’m not a girl. Mom and Dad made me a boy.”
Avah quietly went to get some tissues and carefully wiped her cousin’s sweat herself. “Sister will help you.”
Fabian grinned from ear to ear. “Thank you, Sister. You’re the one who loves me the most. I love my sister the most too. Come on, Sister, let’s go eat. After lunch, we’re going fruit picking. Baby said we’re picking fruit this afternoon.”
He grabbed Avah’s arm and was about to run off, but Avah tugged him back. He immediately understood and slowed down, walking properly so his mother wouldn’t scold him for running around again.
Everyone enjoyed a lively and cheerful lunch.
After the meal, Alex said he would take Aitana for a walk and then drive her down the mountain.
Aitana was in an exceptionally good mood. Along the way, she kept talking excitedly about how kind Lilian had been to her.
“Alex, thank you so much,” she said warmly. “Not only did you help me meet my idol, you even helped me get her contact information. Sister Lilian said I can call her anytime if I run into problems at work, and she’ll guide me. She’s exactly like you said—easy to get along with, no airs at all. And she looks so young. She really knows how to take care of herself.”
Alex smiled. “Dr. Carden has her own ways. Plus, her sister-in-law’s family is in the skincare business. They’re always the first to try out new products.”
The second young mistress of the Johnson family owned a skincare company and was also a makeup expert. With makeup, she could look like a completely different person.
Alex added, “The legendary doctor will be back for the New Year. He might come as well. If he does, I’ll arrange for you to meet him.”
Aitana’s eyes lit up. “That’s a promise! If the legendary doctor comes, you have to tell me!”
She continued happily, “Sister Lilian also told me to come back with you during the New Year holiday. She said your family’s New Year is especially lively since all your brothers return from all over the country. And she said your sixth brother’s cooking is amazing.”
“That’s true,” Alex replied. “Our family’s New Year is always lively. Grandma insists that no matter how busy we are or where we are, we must come home for New Year’s every year. Even if we travel, it has to wait until after the third day of the New Year.”
Aitana sighed softly, a little envious. “I really admire how lively and harmonious your family is. My family is harmonious too, but we rarely all gather together. I’ve been on duty on the first day of the Lunar New Year for two years straight. Thank you for your hard work.”
Alex reached out and took her hand. “You can come whenever you’re free. If the legendary doctor comes, he’ll stay for a while.”
Aitana didn’t pull her hand away.
To outsiders, they were already clearly a couple. They ate together every day, went shopping, watched movies, and whenever she needed help, he was always there. He often gave her thoughtful gifts just to make her smile.
Before she realized it, Aitana had grown used to his presence. He made her feel safe—secure in a way she hadn’t felt in a long time.
The two of them walked into a flower field.
Even though it wasn’t Aitana’s first visit, she was still awed by the sight.
“Come on,” Alex said, pulling her gently. “Let’s go to the center. It’s even more beautiful there.”
Surrounded by blossoms, Aitana took out her phone and recorded a video.
When she finished, Alex suddenly appeared in front of her holding a bouquet of bright, vibrant roses. He handed them to her, gazing at her tenderly.
“Aitana,” he said softly, “I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?”
Aitana looked at him, then at the bouquet. She slipped her phone into her pocket, took the flowers, and smiled.
“Alex,” she said gently, “aren’t we already boyfriend and girlfriend?”
