Ch. 5151: Married At First Sight Chapter 5151

Chapter 5151

After breakfast, Alex personally drove Aitana to work.

Only after seeing her safely inside did he return to his own company.

As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, his secretary greeted him.
“Mr. York, Young Master Rowan is here.”

“I know,” Alex replied calmly.

Rowan visited frequently, so this was nothing unusual.

Among the nine brothers, Alex and Rowan were closest in age—and more importantly, they were full brothers. It was only natural for Rowan to be especially close to him.

Alex pushed open the office door and immediately saw Rowan lounging on the sofa, casually eating sunflower seeds. A teapot sat on the table beside him, steam still rising.

Rowan didn’t bother standing up. Instead, he smiled lazily.
“Eighth Brother.”

Alex frowned slightly. “Just call me Second Brother.”

Among the brothers, Alex ranked second in age.

Alex walked over and said with mock annoyance, “Every time you call me Eighth Brother, it feels like you’re treating me like a pet bird.”

Rowan laughed. “I just like calling you Eighth Brother. You are my Eighth Brother.”

“Then call me Third Brother,” Alex countered.

He sat down and lightly flicked Rowan’s forehead. “You look way too relaxed. You even brewed tea. Where did these sunflower seeds come from? I don’t remember having any here.”

Rowan scooped up a handful and offered them to him.
“I bought them myself. I was craving sunflower seeds.”

Alex narrowed his eyes. “I feel like there’s something hidden behind that sentence. Since you’re so free, I can assign you some work.”

“No, no, no—I’m not free at all,” Rowan said quickly, rejecting the idea outright.

Alex snorted. “You’re not free? During working hours, you’re sitting here drinking tea and eating sunflower seeds. I’ll talk to our eldest brother later and have him assign you more work. We older brothers are getting on in years—our energy isn’t what it used to be. It’s time for you younger ones to step up.”

Rowan spat out a sunflower seed shell and protested, “Eighth Brother, you’re not old at all. My future Eighth Sister-in-law looks very young too. You two look about the same age.”

“If you say you’re old, doesn’t that mean you’re saying my Eighth Sister-in-law is old too? I’ll make sure to tell her next time I see her.”

Alex immediately raised his hand and lightly punched him.
“Say one more nonsense word in front of your eighth sister-in-law and see what happens,” he said, laughing. “You’ve learned how to use her to threaten me now.”

Rowan grinned. “Eighth Brother, your relationship with my future Eighth Sister-in-law is progressing really smoothly.”

He poured Alex a cup of tea and continued teasing, “Since things are going so well, why don’t you two experience a tragic love story?”

“You little brat,” Alex said. “Do you want your brothers to suffer tragic romances? If you like tragedy so much, go experience it yourself.”

He added calmly, “I only like sweet, happy relationships.”

“Me too,” Rowan replied without hesitation. “I also like sweet, happy relationships. Others can suffer tragic love stories—just not me.”

Alex poked his forehead again. “Everyone’s selfish.”

Then he finally asked, “Alright. Enough nonsense. What did you really come here for?”

Rowan suddenly grabbed Alex’s arm, clinging to it dramatically.
“Brother, you’re my own brother! Can’t I come visit you? Are you trying to kick me out?”

“Get off me,” Alex said, prying his hand away. “You’re giving me goosebumps. You’re already in your mid-twenties. Whining was cute when you were a kid—now it’s just embarrassing.”

Rowan chuckled. “I’m still your little brother. I was bored, so I came over to drink tea, eat sunflower seeds, and keep you company.”
