The Ormond family was dominated by women. The two Ormond brothers, Alonzo and Angelo, were both still unmarried. Whether their marriages would change the family structure remained to be seen.

Elora was especially worried about Alonzo. He was already in his early thirties and didn’t even have a girlfriend. Whenever pressured, he would calmly say he would think about marriage again at thirty-five—much to his sisters’ frustration.

After dinner, Belle was surrounded by everyone, all of them showing concern and affection.

At that moment, the butler approached Elora, bowed slightly, and said respectfully, “Miss, Mr. Young–Johnson from Lonen Group has arrived.”

Elora smiled. “He’s well-informed. Please invite him in.”

The butler replied, “Mr. Young–Johnson’s car is already parked at the door. He has come inside.”

Landen Young–Johnson was a frequent guest at the Ormond residence. The servants were very familiar with him and understood his close relationship with the family. Even though they had never seen his face, their respect for him was unwavering.

Soon, Landen appeared.

“Uncle Tatum. Aunt Elora.”

As he entered, Landen—also known as Titus—greeted them with a smile, then greeted the Ormond elders one by one. Finally, his gaze settled on Belle, his eyes creasing with amusement.

“I even sent someone to wait at the airport,” Titus said with a laugh. “But I couldn’t find Belle. Caleb beat me to it.”

Belle immediately nudged Caleb aside to make room.

“Brother Titus, come sit here.” She patted the seat next to her.

Caleb muttered under his breath, “With him here, even I—as the older brother—have to step aside.”

He wasn’t really complaining, just grumbling out of habit.

In truth, even if Belle hadn’t said anything, he would have given up his seat anyway. Titus was everyone’s idol—an older brother figure they had known since childhood, someone who always looked after them.

Titus didn’t stand on ceremony. He walked straight over, sat beside Belle, and handed her the gift he had brought.

“Long time no see,” he said. “I prepared something for you. I hope you like it.”

Belle glanced at the box and immediately guessed it was jewelry. She smiled helplessly. “Brother Titus, you always give the same kind of gift. That won’t do. If you give the same thing to every girl you like, how are you supposed to win her over?”

Titus laughed. “I honestly don’t know what else to give. I gave your sister Avah the same thing.”

Titus was already over thirty-one. At his age, he was considered an older bachelor, and pressure to marry was unavoidable.

But he wasn’t in a hurry.

He wouldn’t consider marriage until his long-standing vendetta was settled. He was also wary of dragging an innocent woman into his troubles.

On top of that, his standards were high. Ordinary heiresses didn’t interest him—especially since he had an exceptionally outstanding younger sister.

Avah, the new president of FC & Co., had been composed and steady since childhood. Even when her brothers displayed remarkable talent, none could surpass her.

With Avah around, her brothers inevitably paled in comparison.

Ben and Jane were reluctant to see their only daughter shoulder such heavy responsibilities, but Avah loved business and commanded the respect of the company’s veterans. Unable to dissuade her, they could only let her take over FC & Co., officially becoming its new president.
