“I’m not being polite, Sonny. You should eat more too.”

Grandma Brown pursed her lips and rolled her eyes at her daughter-in-law.

As they ate, Sonny said to his father, “Dad, I’m leaving on a business trip for about a week, so I won’t be able to come over for dinner next week.”

Both elderly people immediately looked at him with concern.

“Where are you going?” they asked. “Why will you be gone for so long?”

“I’m going to Dominingon,” Sonny explained. “It’s only about a week. Business trips are a normal part of my job. After I get back and rest for a short while, I’ll probably head to Havenmill for another stretch. There are more important matters on Titus’s side now, and I need to go there to oversee the company.”

Although he served as vice president, he was also a shareholder of the Lonen Group, effectively making him the company's second-in-command.

Grandma Brown asked anxiously, “How long will you be gone that time?”

Whenever her grandson wasn't in Wiltspoon, she felt an emptiness in her heart.

As people grew older, they naturally hoped their children and grandchildren could spend more time by their side.

She often thought of Grandma York.

When Grandma York was still alive, she had been the picture of happiness, surrounded by loving children and grandchildren who were all devoted to her.

She had also lived a long and fulfilling life.

Grandma Brown hoped she would be just as fortunate.

With such a capable and filial grandson, she wished she could live to be a hundred and enjoy many more years of his love and care.

Most of all, she still hoped to drink the ceremonial tea served by her future granddaughter-in-law.

That was one of the reasons she took such good care of her health.

“Maybe not for too long,” Sonny replied. “Whenever I come back, I’ll definitely stop by to see all of you.”

He couldn’t give a definite answer.

Now that Titus had revealed his true identity and officially taken over the Labbe family, countless responsibilities awaited him.

Much of the Lonen Group’s day-to-day operations would naturally fall to Sonny.

Meanwhile, Titus needed to focus on fully taking control of the Labbe Group and firmly establishing his authority.

“Oh...”

The two elderly people could only nod reluctantly.

Neither of them wanted their grandson to leave.

But they also understood that someone as capable and accomplished as Sonny couldn't stay by their side forever.

He had his own responsibilities and his own future to build.
