Ch. 4652: Married At First Sight Chapter 4652
Chapter 4652
Callum had always been baffled by Mrs. Newmanâs bitterness. She didnât want to marry Camrynâs father, sureâbut she hadnât fought it either. Her parents forced her into the marriage, not her husband. So why take out her anger on him?
If she and her former lover truly loved each other, they couldâve resisted, eloped, or done something. But they didnât. They chose their own interests over love, and afterward, they channeled their resentment into crueltyâdirected at Camryn and her father, who had done nothing wrong.
Camrynâs father died because of all this, and Camryn nearly did too.
Given all this history, Callum couldnât bring himself to feel any respect for that woman.
Luckily, justice was served.
Camryn had avenged her father, healed her own wounds, and even regained her eyesight. Now, she was living the life she deservedâhappy and fulfilled.
âNow that Trenton has someone he likes,â Camryn said, âI want to let her see how happy I am with you. She tried to ruin my chances of ever becoming a mother, and now I have a son in kindergarten.â
âSheâll be furious when she hears that,â Camryn added with a cold smile. âAnd Iâll tell her that her precious daughter is still missing, and no one knows if sheâs even alive.â
Callum looked at her and nodded, understanding the depth of pain she carried. Camrynâs hatred for her mother wasnât something that time could erase. She could never forgive that woman for what she did.
âI havenât seen her in years. Iâm curious to see how much sheâs aged. Before she went to prison, she cared so much about her looks. No makeup, no skincare, aging in prisonâher face must be full of wrinkles, her hair turning white.â
Callum said, âAlright. Iâll make the arrangements. When do you want to go?â
âFriday,â Camryn replied. âIâm free Friday afternoon. Letâs go then. Trentonâs coming over for dinner that evening, and I want to talk to him about her condition.â
Before graduation, Trenton had only visited the prison during winter and summer breaks. After he started working, his visits became even less frequentâonly once every few months. Lately, with work keeping him busier than ever, it had been nearly half a year since his last visit.
Every visit left Trenton in a bad mood.
His parents always tried to manipulate himâasking him to distance himself from Camryn, to team up with Carrie and take her down. But Trenton had admired Camryn since childhood. His moral compass told him they were the ones in the wrong.
Even now, their attitude toward Camryn hadnât changed. They showed no guilt, and that disappointed Trenton deeply. Every prison visit made things worse.
And they were furious that their son wouldnât obey them.
The only one who ever listened to them was Carrieâbut she lacked both ability and strength. She couldnât compete with Camryn even if she tried.
âTrenton still visits them when he has time,â Camryn said quietly. âThey are his biological parents, after all.â
The Newmans truly did love their only son. They always said Trenton was their favorite, but when it came to the family estate, they were crystal clearâeverything went to the son.
Trenton could see right through the hypocrisy.
They claimed to love him the most, but in the end, all the wealth was reserved for his younger brother.
