Ch. 4686: Married At First Sight Chapter 4686

Chapter 4686

Hank chuckled warmly. “Alright, then I won’t drive tomorrow. I’ll stay home, make something tasty, and hang out with you. Whatever you want to eat, just say the word—I’ll cook it for you.”

“I’m not picky,” Sonny replied. “Whatever you make is fine.”

Even though Liberty and Duncan were wealthy, their family still preferred simple home-cooked meals. They had told the kitchen staff that four dishes and a soup were enough for the four of them. The meals were simple but varied every day so they wouldn’t get bored.

Sonny and Livia weren’t picky at all. They were easy kids to raise.

Hank asked, “Will you bring Livia with you tomorrow? I miss her.”

Though Livia was Duncan’s biological daughter, Hank had met her a few times—and he adored her.

She was the perfect mix of Duncan and Liberty—adorable and bright. The only issue was that she used to be very shy and wouldn’t let Hank hold her. She was probably around two years old now.

Livia was about six months older than Serenity’s daughter, Bethany, but Hank had never met her. Serenity’s family kept a tight circle, and given Hank’s history, he wasn’t welcomed near her children.

Even Maverick, Serenity’s son, remained a mystery to him. All Hank knew was that the boy’s nickname was "Baby."

Sonny rarely brought up his aunt’s children at the Brown household. Maverick had been mentioned once or twice, but when Sonny saw his aunt Chelsea and Grandma gossiping, he clammed up. He didn’t like people prying into their lives.

Sonny was extremely protective of Bethany. He wouldn’t even let her name be brought up at the Browns’. Whenever Chelsea mentioned her, Sonny either changed the subject or stayed silent.

As for the Lewis family, they weren’t as guarded with Livia, but they also kept their circle private. Hank was the only one from the Browns allowed to see her—only because Liberty permitted it for Sonny’s sake. No one else in the Brown family had even laid eyes on Livia.

Looking at his sister now, nestled in Grandpa Lewis’s arms and refusing to budge, Sonny knew she wasn’t going anywhere.

He politely turned down Hank’s request.

“Dad, we just got back. Grandpa and Grandma really missed Livia. I don’t think Mom or Uncle Duncan can take me over tomorrow, so the driver will probably take me alone. I won’t be bringing Livia.”

Livia was energetic and curious. Sonny was worried he couldn’t handle her on his own.

If anything happened to her at the Brown household, all the recent efforts to ease tensions between the families would fall apart. Sonny didn’t want that. And if Livia got hurt, he’d never forgive himself.

Hank paused for a moment, then replied with a gentle smile, “That’s okay. I’ll wait for you at home tomorrow, then. Is it alright if I invite Aunt Chelsea and her family over for dinner?”

By now, Hank knew his son well.

Sonny didn’t like Chelsea or her family.

And Hank had learned—if he wanted to invite them, he needed Sonny’s permission first.
