Ch. 4694: Married At First Sight Chapter 4694

Chapter 4694

“Maybe,” Camryn said. “Or maybe she’s changed, and doesn’t want to drag you into her mess. If she’s in Wiltspoon, just knowing she’s alive is enough. Don’t look for her. Keep the search going elsewhere so Mr. Labbe doesn’t get suspicious—that would only put her in danger.”

She placed a hand on her brother’s shoulder. “Trenton, Nancy’s a good woman. Cherish her. You’re in your twenties now—you should understand that every choice has consequences. People choose their own paths, and they must walk them. Live your own life, and don’t let yourself get caught up in things that don’t matter.”

Camryn wanted her brother to move forward. As for Carrie—if she was alive and could fend for herself, that was enough.

In two years, Trenton would marry and start a family. If Carrie came back, she would almost certainly cause tension. Nancy might not have in-laws to make her life hard, but a sister-in-law like Carrie would be a problem.

Carrie’s nature was unchangeable. Even if life improved, she’d find a way to ruin it.

That was why Camryn didn’t want her brought back.

If Carrie had chosen to disappear, it meant she wanted no contact. That was the best outcome—for all of them.

Non-interference. Separate lives. Peace.

Trenton opened his mouth to speak, but Camryn had already walked away.

He watched her go, saw Callum approach, wrap an arm around her, and open the car door. He even leaned his forehead against hers, making sure she didn’t bump her head as she got in.

Callum’s tenderness hadn’t faded after years of marriage.

Once she was seated, he climbed in beside her. The car pulled away without waiting for Trenton.

He wasn’t angry. He knew she wanted to give him space.

After a long moment, he walked to his own car. Sitting in the driver’s seat, he didn’t start the engine. Instead, he called the head of the detective agency.

“Search for her in Wiltspoon,” Trenton instructed.

“You think your sister’s gone back there?” the man asked.

“If she’s not outside, then she’s there. But keep the search going everywhere else too. I’ll pay.”

The man sighed. “Mr. Newman, you’ve been looking for her for years. She doesn’t want to be found. When someone’s determined to hide, it’s almost impossible.”

Trenton’s tone hardened. “Give it two more years. If I can’t find her by then, I’ll stop. She may have had plastic surgery, so be prepared for that.”

“That’ll make it even harder,” the man replied.

“Doesn’t matter,” Trenton said. “Two more years—then I’ll give up.”

Deep down, he knew the truth. Carrie had either died, or she’d chosen to erase herself from their lives.

And if it was the latter, no matter how long he searched—ten years, twenty—it wouldn’t matter.

If she were alive, she’d know he was looking for her. But in all these years, she had never appeared.

That silence said it all.
