Ch. 4798: Married At First Sight Chapter 4798
Chapter 4798
Second Uncle Pollock admired Joaquin’s persistence. But Aitana herself was indifferent to him, and since she still had both parents and older brothers, it wasn’t his place to intervene.
Aitana, respectful as always, treated her uncle with courtesy—but she made her own decisions.
Encouraged by Second Uncle Pollock’s supportive glance, Joaquin walked to the counter, holding out the bouquet of red roses. “Aitana, I like you,” he said, summoning all his courage.
Aitana didn’t take the flowers. Her voice was apologetic but steady. “Senior, I’m sorry. I don’t have romantic feelings for you. You’re my senior, and I see you as a brother. Thank you for your kindness. I’m on night shift tonight and need to rest, so I’ll go upstairs first.”
She walked around the counter and said to her uncle and aunt, “Uncle, Aunt, I’m going upstairs to rest.”
“Aitana, wait—Aitana,” Joaquin called after her, hurrying with the bouquet in his arms. But she moved quickly, disappearing from sight before he could reach her.
The upper floors were the Pollock family’s private living space. Without permission, Joaquin didn’t dare follow.
He stood at the bottom of the stairs, lost.
He could tell Aitana felt nothing for him.
But feelings could grow. If only she’d give him a chance.
Yet she clearly wouldn’t.
Uncle Pollock walked over, patted his shoulder, and said kindly, “Don’t be discouraged. This is just the beginning. It’s normal for Aitana not to accept you right away. If you don’t give up and show her your sincerity, you’ll win her heart one day.
“I’m very optimistic about you, Joaquin.”
Joaquin had often come to Uncle Pollock for advice, and they shared a teacher-student rapport. But Uncle Pollock remained impartial. Besides offering encouragement, he wouldn’t interfere in his niece’s personal life.
“Thank you, Uncle Pollock. I won’t give up,” Joaquin said, his disappointment clear but his resolve firm. “I like Aitana and will keep pursuing her. If she doesn’t accept my feelings now, it just means I’m not doing enough yet.”
For him, Aitana was the ideal partner.
Her family background was far better than his. Marrying her would save him years of hard work and open doors for his family in the city.
His nephews and nieces were also studying medicine and hoping to work in big hospitals. With the Pollocks’ connections, they could have a bright future.
His brother and sister-in-law had lent him money to open his clinic and helped him enormously. He wanted to repay them by securing opportunities for their children.
But beyond family benefits, Joaquin genuinely liked Aitana.
He truly hoped to start a life with her and grow old together.
