Ch. 4802: Married At First Sight Chapter 4802

Chapter 4802

Aitana’s parents didn’t work at Wiltspoon’s hospital but at a large hospital in the provincial capital, so they rarely came home.

She also had an older brother who worked at a major hospital in another province, and he seldom came back either.

With her parents and brother away, her second uncle and aunt were her closest family. Her third uncle and aunt were equally busy and had no time to guide her little cousin’s studies.

Luckily, the Pollock children were all gifted academically and consistently excelled in school. Her little cousin was even considering medicine; when he had to choose a major in his first year of high school, he picked physics, chemistry, and biology to prepare for it.

Soon Uncle Pollock and his wife came upstairs for dinner. Aitana had already served their plates.

Because they were all in the medical field, the family ate lightly, avoiding too much oil or salt.

“Aitana, are you going to work soon?” Uncle Pollock asked while eating.

“Yes,” Aitana replied. “I’m on the night shift tonight. I’ll eat, shower, and then head out.”

“Is your new environment okay? Getting along with your colleagues?” Uncle Pollock asked.

“It’s fine,” Aitana said. “But very tiring and busy.”

Even in the inpatient department she stayed busy, often performing surgeries.

Second Aunt Pollock said, “Wiltspoon Central Hospital is the best in the city. Its medical technology and equipment are top-notch. These days, people flock to big hospitals, so the staff are always busy.

“But even though you’re busy, Aitana, you should still think about your life’s most important matters. Your parents are very worried. I’ve asked your second uncle to keep an eye out for you and introduce you to a good man if one comes along.”

Aitana was twenty-seven, but her youthful looks often fooled people into thinking she was twenty-three or twenty-four. It was normal for her elders to be anxious about her future.

Especially after her first love broke her heart three years ago—she’d declared men unreliable and vowed never to marry. She preferred a carefree, independent life with no in-laws to serve, no conflicts to handle, and no children to raise. Back then, her family had thought she was just venting.

But now, at twenty-seven, still single, they worried she truly planned to stay that way. Her parents and brother were so busy they barely even spoke on the phone, and they’d asked her second uncle and aunt to watch over her and introduce good men.

“Joaquin likes you. Don’t you consider him at all?” Uncle Pollock asked, earning a sharp glare from his wife. He quickly lowered his head to eat.

“I’ve never had any romantic feelings for my senior,” Aitana said calmly. “I only see him as a brother. Besides… I don’t think his family background suits me.”

After all, she’d known him for years and understood his family situation.

Second Aunt Pollock said, “Exactly—it’s not right for you. Don’t worry about your second uncle. He’s just a rough guy and sees things differently from us. Listen to me: no matter how much Joaquin pursues you, don’t accept him. Let him give up sooner rather than later. Marriage isn’t just between two people—it’s between two families. His family matters and can’t be ignored.”
