Ch. 4815: Married At First Sight Chapter 4815
Chapter 4815
Joaquin once again used the excuse of asking Aitana’s second uncle for medical advice just so he could see her.
Before he even confessed his feelings, Aitana could only avoid him.
“I liked him in the past, not because he was handsome,” Aitana admitted quietly. “I’m not a superficial person. I value character. Unfortunately, I was dazzled by my first love.”
She had made a mistake. She never expected Ibrahim to be that kind of person. But their relationship was over, and she didn’t want to talk about him anymore.
If it were about looks, the young masters of the York family were far more handsome than Ibrahim.
Aitana had met most of them—anyone based in Wiltspoon she had encountered. They were truly exceptional men. The old matriarch of the York family really knew how to raise her grandsons.
Her thoughts drifted, and Alex’s handsome face flashed in her mind.
Alex was well-educated, gentle in manner, and approachable. He spoke with a polite smile and didn’t carry himself like a spoiled rich heir.
Of course, Aitana knew that no one who had climbed to such heights in business could be entirely gentle. He probably had a ruthless side too, just hidden from view.
Right now, though, he was her patient. He treated her and the other medical staff with respect—nothing more, nothing less. There was no conflict of interest between them.
“Brother Joaquin,” Aitana said calmly, “we’re really not suited for each other. Please stop wasting your time on me and find someone who’s truly right for you.”
Second Aunt often called Joaquin a “Phoenix Man.”
Aitana didn’t actually mind Joaquin’s humbler family background—she simply didn’t like him.
But that dislike also made her rational. Second Aunt had been right: Joaquin had too much on his shoulders. He was his family’s main support, helping his parents and siblings.
From Joaquin’s point of view, this was loyalty. From a wife’s perspective, it was a heavy burden that would never go away.
It’s normal to support your parents, but how many women could accept constantly supporting his siblings, nieces, and nephews as well?
That was why Second Aunt insisted Joaquin wasn’t a good match. She didn’t want Aitana to be drained by him in the future.
“Aitana, I won’t force you to accept me now,” Joaquin said softly. “I just ask you to give me a chance to pursue you.”
But Aitana was too tired to argue anymore.
“Second Aunt, I’m going upstairs to rest. There were so many patients last night—I barely slept,” she said, turning away.
Joaquin chased after her, holding the bouquet. “Aitana, I won’t give up!” he called as she disappeared upstairs.
Aitana’s brother came over and faced Joaquin. “Mr. Legare, Aitana has made herself very clear. You’d better leave. Coming here every day disrupts my second uncle’s clinic.”
“I’m sincere about Aitana,” Joaquin insisted.
“No one doubts your sincerity,” Aitana’s brother said evenly. “But feelings can’t be forced. My sister doesn’t like you. Pestering her will only make her unhappier. You two could have stayed senior and junior colleagues, but once you started pursuing her, you may not even be able to stay friends.”
“But I really like her,” Joaquin said, his voice low. “I love her very much. I’ve admired her for years.”
Aitana’s brother shook his head. “Joaquin, how many times have I told you? If Aitana doesn’t love you, she doesn’t love you. No matter what you do, that won’t change.”
