Ch. 4856: Married At First Sight Chapter 4856

Chapter 4856

“I won’t have a day off until next Saturday,” Aitana said. “I’ll introduce you to a decorator first. Once he’s seen the place and given a price, we can talk.”

Alex nodded eagerly.

Since his apartment wasn’t renovated yet, there wasn’t much to see, so Aitana soon ended the tour.

“Come on,” she said. “I’ll take you to see my place.”

“My house is only simply renovated,” Alex replied. “It’s nothing compared to yours.”

She could easily imagine that the money Alex spent on renovations alone could buy her entire apartment—maybe more.

The young master of a wealthy family was never short of money.

Alex just smiled and followed her out, locking the door behind him.

They took the stairs instead of the elevator.

“Our floors have six units each,” Aitana explained. “My apartment’s the largest—only two units per floor are this size. The other four are smaller. Everyone on my floor has moved in already. I don’t need to live here yet, so I haven’t really moved in. I just come by occasionally.”

Most of the other residents were migrant workers who’d come to Wiltspoon to work. They’d scraped together years of savings just for the down payment, and some even relied on help from their elderly parents. Residents like Aitana, who could pay in full and renovate without loans, were rare.

She was deeply grateful to her parents for treating all their children equally, never refusing to buy her a house just because she was a daughter. Her brothers’ houses weren’t in the best locations, but they’d chosen Wiltspoon Garden for her because it was close to Wildridge Manor. If she married and her in-laws bullied her, she could simply call and her family would be there in minutes.

Her cousins’ properties were all close to the old house. Her aunts and uncles shared the same thinking: a son’s house could be farther away, but a daughter’s should be near home, providing a haven of support.

Aitana opened her door and led Alex inside.

She’d called it a simple renovation, but it was actually quite nice—she’d chosen environmentally friendly materials, which weren’t cheap.

The apartment was just over a hundred square meters with four bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. The master bedroom was the largest, the second bedroom next, and even the guest room was spacious enough for a five-foot bed, wardrobe, and desk.

The furniture was minimal but complete.

A large balcony held several thriving flower pots and a hanging chair.

Alex walked over and settled into the chair, gazing at the street below. A soft breeze drifted in, comfortable and light.

“This hanging chair was a freebie from the furniture store,” Aitana said. “I bought so much at once that they finally gave me one. I’d wanted one for ages. It’s so comfortable to sit here and read during my spare time. I’m thinking of having a custom sun-shaded bookshelf built against the balcony wall.”

“That’s wonderful,” Alex said with a smile.

She loved hanging chairs—really, she loved anything like a swing.

He found himself imagining buying one too, a double swing chair. When he finally succeeded in winning his wife’s heart, they could sit together, swaying gently in their free time.

The thought filled him with quiet sweetness.
