Ch. 4872: Married At First Sight Chapter 4872

Chapter 4872

Donovan grinned and continued, “So, River—since you’re making breakfast for Romina, why not prepare one for me too?”

River laughed. “As long as you don’t mind my cooking, I’ll gladly make an extra one for you.”

“I’m just joking,” Donovan said. “I wouldn’t dare compete with my sister. But seriously—you said every day. Can you really keep that up?”

River’s expression turned earnest. “I, River York, always keep my word. Not just breakfast—if Romina wants my cooking for lunch and dinner too, I’ll make it for her every day.”

Donovan burst out laughing. “Then you’ll basically become a stay-at-home husband! What about Yantail? Be careful or it’ll go bankrupt.”

River smiled calmly. “Yantail is solid as a rock now. Even if I’m not there all the time, it runs smoothly.”

He wasn’t exaggerating. River had built a strong management team capable of handling everything.

Even Leonidas had been brought back to the company to get reacquainted with its operations.

After all, Leonidas was Yantail’s founder. River had no intention of letting him be a hands-off boss forever.

Leonidas Gaudreault often complained that his biggest mistake had been returning to the company to gossip—only to be caught by River and forced back into full-time work.

Mrs. Gaudreault had even teased that her husband ruined his easy life just because he couldn’t resist a bit of gossip.

Now that Leonidas was back managing the business, he had little time left for family trips. Mrs. Gaudreault, who had grown used to her husband’s leisurely lifestyle, found it hard to adjust—but there was no changing it.

After all, Yantail was Leonidas’s creation. It had grown into one of Eaglioncile’s most powerful companies, supported by capable executives. His job now was far easier than before—he simply had to oversee things and sign off when needed.

Leonidas often sighed in private. His daughter was still young; if she were in her twenties, he might have competed with the Lafayettes to make River his son-in-law.

What a pity—his daughter was too young. She still had to call River uncle.

River smiled faintly. “Leonidas is back at Yantail too. He’s the founder, after all.”

Donovan nodded. He’d already heard about it—that River had dragged Leonidas back to work, forcing him to abandon his carefree days.

He had even teased Leonidas about it at a business reception once.

Leonidas had laughed so bitterly that Donovan felt immediately satisfied.

After all, why should Leonidas get to relax while everyone else worked themselves to exhaustion? They were all CEOs—there should be some fairness in the world.

“That’s right,” Donovan said. “Yantail isn’t just yours. Leonidas is the real boss there. He’s had it easy for too long—it’s about time he takes responsibility again. That way, you’ll have more time to spend with Romina.”

He grinned. “Your proposal was a success, but love still needs nurturing. You should take her out—plan dates, go on trips, do whatever makes you both happy. Romina, don’t worry about the company. If you two go on vacation, I’ll handle things here.”

Romina gave her brother a pointed look. “Brother, I’m not some love-crazed woman who abandons everything for romance. Can’t River and I just have a normal relationship? We’re both busy during the day—it’s fine this way.”
