Ch. 4905: Married At First Sight Chapter 4905

Chapter 4905

“Aitana, please,” Joaquin pleaded. “Go back! Stop wasting your time on me.”

Without another word, Aitana walked past him and kept going.

“Aitana!” Joaquin called after her and grabbed her hand. “Just give me a chance, okay? I’ll treat you well. I swear, I’ll be good to you for the rest of my life — only you.”

Before Aitana could react, Alex stepped forward and forcefully slapped Joaquin’s hand away.

He hadn’t even held Aitana’s hand before — and now his rival dared to touch her right in front of him? Without asking? Without permission?

“Mr. Legare,” Alex said coldly, “you can talk all you want, but don’t touch Dr. Pollock. She’s already told you she has no feelings for you, yet you’re still pestering her. She doesn’t like you — and, frankly, neither do I.”

Joaquin sneered. “Of course you don’t like me. You’re trying to compete with me for Aitana, aren’t you? Let me tell you something, Mr. York — even if Aitana doesn’t like me, she’d never go for a freeloader like you. Aitana likes capable men. You don’t even have a real job! You’re not worthy to carry her shoes.”

“Senior Joaquin,” Aitana interrupted seriously, “I told you, this is between you and me. Don’t bring Mr. York into this. Mr. York is—”

Alex cut her off calmly. “So what if I don’t have a job? Even without one, I’m still better than you. At least I know how to respect people. Unlike you — a man who can’t even control himself and grabs Dr. Pollock without her consent.”

He didn’t want Aitana to reveal his real identity. He preferred Joaquin to keep thinking he was just some idle relative living off his cousin’s wife.

If Joaquin ever found out he was the eighth young master of the York family, the man would only accuse him of winning unfairly — of using his power and status to crush him.

But Alex didn’t need that. Even as “ordinary” Alex York, he could still crush Joaquin completely.

“I—I just got anxious,” Joaquin stammered, realizing how bad he looked. “I pulled her impulsively. I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m sorry, Aitana. Please, believe me. Look at him — what’s so good about him anyway? Fine, let’s not talk about him. Aitana, I’m sincere. I’ve liked you for years. I even visit Second Uncle every day just to see you. Can you please give me a chance?”

Aitana shook her head. Her voice was steady but firm. “Senior Joaquin, I’ve said everything I could — even things I shouldn’t — and you still won’t listen. I have nothing else to say. I’m sorry, but I need to go home.”

She walked away again, her steps quick and decisive.

When Joaquin tried to follow, Alex stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

“Mr. Legare,” Alex said, his tone turning sharp, “Dr. Pollock already told you she doesn’t want to talk to you anymore. Can you stop following her around like a little tail? You’ve got nurses at your clinic who adore you. Maybe you should focus on them instead of chasing someone who’s not interested.”

But Joaquin didn’t leave.

Men understood each other — he could tell Alex liked Aitana too.

And even though Alex hadn’t confessed his feelings yet, Joaquin could see it clearly.

Still, Aitana hadn’t fallen for Alex — not yet. That meant Joaquin still had a chance.

He told himself it was fair competition.

He had a stable clinic, a car, a house, and savings. His income was higher than most. In terms of status and ability, he wasn’t inferior to Alex at all.

Still, Joaquin decided he needed to know exactly who he was dealing with.

If you want to win a war, he thought, you have to know your enemy.

He would hire a private investigator to dig into Alex’s background.

Meanwhile, Aitana walked faster, determined to get away from the uncomfortable scene.

Soon, she and Alex reached the Pollock family clinic.

Second Uncle was busy treating a patient while Second Aunt scrolled through her phone.

When she saw Aitana return, Second Aunt looked up with a smile. “You’re back, Aitana.”

But the smile froze a little when she noticed the two men trailing behind her niece.

Alex didn’t come around every day like Joaquin, but whenever he did, it was always with a clear reason — usually related to house renovations. And Aitana never turned him away.

Between the two, Second Aunt thought quietly, Alex York might look calm on the surface — but he was far more strategic than he appeared.
