Ch. 5031: Married At First Sight Chapter 5031
Chapter 5031
The old lady said, “The driver brought me over last night. Your uncle and his family had just gotten back, so I let them spend some time together and catch up. You weren’t even home yet when I arrived.”
She had gone to bed early, and even after she fell asleep, Alex still hadn’t returned. The butler and the staff didn’t finish their work until ten o’clock at night.
It made sense that Alex didn’t know she’d arrived the night before. Naturally, he assumed she’d come early that morning.
“Grandma, I didn’t know you came last night—I thought you just arrived. No wonder you didn’t bring Belle. I’ll bring my two little darlings over this weekend to play. With kids around, Aitana will feel more at ease.”
The old lady nodded. “If you want the sound of children laughing in the house, that’s easy. Your nephews don’t have kindergarten this weekend. Finish your breakfast first, then go pick up Aitana. Grandma will call your brothers and sisters-in-law and have them bring their kids over for the day. It’ll be lively—however lively you want it.”
She added, “Do you want only the kids to come, or do you want your brothers and sisters-in-law to come too? Only Zack and Callum are in Wiltspoon. The others aren’t here.”
Alex said, “Then let’s invite my eldest brother and second brother. Have them bring the kids over for dinner. It’ll be lively, and Aitana can spend a bit of time with my sisters-in-law.”
“Alright,” the old lady agreed. “I’ll call them later and ask them to bring the kids. Jasmine’s child is also staying at your older brother’s house. Jasmine is pregnant with her second baby, and Josh is worried their son is too energetic and might bump into her. Milo has been staying at your older brother’s place lately, so he’ll definitely come too.”
Alex laughed. “Grandma, this place isn’t small. We can handle another child. Bring them all. Isn’t Sonny coming home this weekend?”
The old lady shook her head. “No. He’s busy with school now—he’s in middle school. His grades have always been good, but that’s because he works hard. He lives at school during the week and can only come home on weekends. And when he does, he wants to spend time with his parents and sister.”
She sighed softly. “He’ll probably come during winter break. Children grow up—they can’t stay with us every day like when they were little.”
She thought back to when Zack and Seren got married in a flash. Sonny had only been two years old. Now he was in middle school. Time really did fly.
“Audrey watched Belle for a whole day a few days ago,” the old lady continued. “If you don’t mind having more people, you could invite Elisa and her husband too. It’d be even more lively if they brought their child.”
Alex paused. “…I won’t invite them for now. I’ll plan a gathering with relatives and friends after Aitana and I confirm our relationship. I’ll introduce her to everyone then. I’m just afraid she’ll feel uncomfortable if there are too many people right now.”
His brothers and sisters-in-law were different—they wouldn’t make things awkward. And Aitana had already met them.
“That’s fine,” the old lady said, nodding. “We can talk about that later. When winter vacation comes, all your brothers and sisters-in-law will be back for the New Year. Everyone will be here—we can have a big gathering then. You should confess to Aitana by that time, right?”
She looked him over and added, “But Alex, Grandma thinks you confessing now wouldn’t scare her. Aitana isn’t someone who hasn’t seen the world. She’s had a failed relationship before. In terms of experience, she’s more seasoned than you. How could she possibly be scared?”
Medical students were bold by nature.
Alex said calmly, “Grandma, I’ll handle it myself.”
“Alright, you take care of it,” she said. “Now hurry and finish eating so you can pick up Aitana. I’ll go call Seren and Camryn and have them bring the kids over.”
