Ch. 5067: Married At First Sight Chapter 5067

Chapter 5067

Aitana picked up the skincare set Tania had given her and handed it to her second aunt. “This is a gift from Alex’s aunt. His mother gave me the same one too. It’s all skincare products, Aunt. Let’s each take a set—I can’t possibly use that much.”

Her second aunt quickly declined. “They gave those to you, so you should keep them and use them slowly. I have plenty of skincare products. And what they gave is clearly meant for someone your age. I’m already an older woman; the products I use are different from what young women use.”

Still, Aitana insisted until her second aunt finally accepted it with a smile. “Alright, then Auntie won’t stand on ceremony. I’ll accept it.”

“We’re family, like mother and daughter,” Aitana said softly. “You spend more time with me and take care of me more than my own mom can. In my heart, you’re like my mother. It’s only right that I show you respect.”

Truthfully, there was no way she could finish all the skincare sets herself anyway.

“What did Joaquin want with Alex?” her aunt asked, suddenly worried. “He won’t bully Alex, will he?”

Aunt Pollock was clearly biased toward Alex. She admired him deeply and hoped Aitana would marry him—not because of the Yorks’ wealth, but because of their solid family values. Joining a family like that would be a blessing.

York men were devoted and dependable, unlike Joaquin—who chased after Aitana yet couldn’t let go of Yehua, treating Yehua like a backup he would fall back on if he didn’t win Aitana.

Aunt Pollock had no respect for that kind of man.

Thankfully, Aitana didn’t love Joaquin. Since she didn’t love him, he would end up marrying Yehua sooner or later.

“Don’t worry, Auntie,” Aitana said. “Alex knows martial arts. How could Senior Joaquin bully him? Honestly, it’s good enough if Alex doesn’t bully him.”

Aitana wasn’t worried about Alex in the slightest. She only felt guilty—because of her, Joaquin kept treating Alex like a rival and causing unnecessary trouble.

“Yes, I heard the young master of the York family knows martial arts,” Aunt Pollock said. “The Yorks are truly a different kind of wealthy family. No wonder I admire Alex so much.” She looked at Aitana seriously. “There are no outsiders here—just the two of us. Tell Auntie the truth: do you like Alex?”

“Aunt,” Aitana sighed, “it’s not about whether I like Alex. Love requires two people. One-sided feelings rarely lead to anything. It usually just ends in disappointment.”

Like Joaquin’s feelings—he liked her, but she didn’t love him. Eventually, he would have to let go, and it would hurt.

Aitana understood heartbreak. She had been abandoned by her first love—she knew how painful love could be.

“Alex is outstanding—handsome, capable, charming,” Aitana admitted. “It’s easy to fall for him. Sometimes I can’t control my heart. But I always remind myself not to overthink. He’s the young master of the York family. Even though they’re open-minded and easygoing, I don’t dare to hope for anything. I’m afraid I’m just being naïve.”

She shook her head. “Let’s just stay friends. The wives of York men are all from prominent families, much more influential than ours. That’s part of why the elders are so open-minded—they already have every connection they need.

“Our family has a decent standing in the industry, but in their world, we’re nothing special. We’re not a good match. The gap is too big.”
