Ch. 5226: Married At First Sight Chapter 5226

Chapter 5226

Chairman Francoeur had often said that many people admired Sonny.

Even setting aside his status and wealth, just his face, his smile, his natural charm—most women would find it difficult to resist.

“Miss Winnie, you’re our guest,” Sonny said with a gentle smile. “Of course I should be attentive. Try the soup and see if it suits your taste. People in Wiltspoon love soup—we drink it often, and we take pride in making it well.”

Winnie picked up her spoon. Under Sonny’s calm, smiling gaze, she took a sip.

She didn’t comment right away. Instead, she took two more spoonfuls before finally pausing.

Chairman Francoeur looked at her with curiosity. “Winnie, how is it? Does it taste good?”

“Grandpa,” Winnie replied simply, “try it yourself.”

She had already finished nearly half the bowl.

If it weren’t good, would she have drunk it so quickly?

People in Donimingon also drank soup, but it was very different from Wiltspoon-style soup. This was Winnie’s first time traveling here for business, and her first time tasting the local cuisine.

Suddenly, she realized that the soups she’d had before were nothing compared to this.

Chairman Francoeur tasted a few bites himself and immediately praised it.

Seeing both grandfather and granddaughter satisfied, Sonny felt relieved.

In business negotiations, a meal wasn’t just food—it was goodwill. When clients enjoyed the table, cooperation became smoother, and trust deepened.

Many deals were sealed over dinner.

Sonny then used serving chopsticks to place food onto their plates.

“Mr. Brown, please don’t,” Chairman Francoeur said quickly. “We can help ourselves. Don’t keep filling our plates—you should eat too.”

Sonny replied politely, “It’s nothing extravagant. Chairman Francoeur, Miss Francoeur, please forgive us. Just make do with what we’ve prepared.”

Winnie ate happily.

With her tomboyish, straightforward personality, she disliked unnecessary restraint. There wasn’t a trace of shyness in her.

Chairman Francoeur smiled, watching her. “Mr. Brown, you’re too modest. Look at this table—it’s full of excellent dishes. And look how happily Winnie is eating.”

Then he added fondly, “But she isn’t picky. Whether it’s delicious or not, she’ll still eat her fill.”

Chairman Francoeur had only one grandchild, and he had raised Winnie almost like a boy, without spoiling her excessively.

Winnie had endured hardships.

She understood clearly that she was the only successor of the Francoeur family. Her father had passed away long ago. If she wasn’t strong enough, the Francoeur Group could collapse in her hands.

That company represented generations of effort. It could not be allowed to fail.

So she worked relentlessly.

Whatever her grandfather told her to learn, she learned with full dedication. When she began studying business management, she started from the very bottom.

After years of grinding, she officially became president of the Francoeur Group.

Even then, the company’s veterans remained harsh and skeptical. Some still refused to fully accept her.

Fortunately, her grandfather was still healthy. He could guide her and protect her for a few more years.

Given enough time, Winnie would win over the entire company—and the Donimingon business world.

Sonny nodded thoughtfully. “It’s rare for someone like Miss Winnie not to be picky about food.”

At first, he had assumed Winnie, as the only child in the Francoeur family, would have been pampered and selective.

But then he realized—

Her father had died early, leaving her with only her mother and grandfather. And with a fortune as large as the Francoeur family’s, there were always relatives watching, waiting.

If Winnie wasn’t strong enough, she could never truly inherit the business… or protect everything her family had built.
