Ch. 5502: Married at First Sight Chapter 5502

Chapter 5502

Now that the children had grown up and Alonzo had taken over much of the family business, Elora could finally breathe a little easier.

Even so, she still couldn't travel too far from home.

There was always something demanding her attention.

She worried about her two younger brothers getting married.

After that, she'd have to start worrying about her eldest son's marriage.

People who carried too many responsibilities never ran out of things to worry about.

Titus laughed.

"That's true."

He knew perfectly well why Zachary and Serenity had chosen to visit him first.

After chatting for a while longer, the bodyguard—who also served as the family's chef—came out of the kitchen and announced that dinner was ready.

Coming from prominent families, everyone observed proper table manners.

There wasn't much conversation during the meal.

After dinner, the three women invited Jennifer to join them for a walk, saying they wanted to help digest the meal.

Zachary and Titus stayed behind.

Neither of them was interested in listening to the women's conversations.

Once the women had left, Zachary turned to Titus.

"How have things been? Is everything going smoothly? If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell us."

Titus nodded.

"Thank you, Uncle Zack. So far, everything has been going smoothly, at least on the surface."

"The family head's token is in my possession. As long as I hold it, they'll have to acknowledge me as the family head, no matter how unwilling they are."

"I don't know what challenges lie ahead, but I'm not afraid."

"I was mentally prepared for this before I came."

"And if I ever need your help, I won't hesitate to ask."

Zachary nodded approvingly.

"We have complete confidence in your abilities."

"Everything else comes second."

"Your safety and health are what matter most."

"I understand, Uncle Zack."

"I'll be extremely careful. I won't eat or drink anything unless Jennifer has checked it first."

He was cautious about being poisoned.

Fortunately, both he and Jennifer knew how to handle poison.

Each of them carried an antidote developed by their master—a medicine capable of neutralizing nearly any poison.

It had been passed down to them after they inherited their master's medical knowledge.

Anyone foolish enough to poison them would only be making trouble for themselves.

Zachary smiled before changing the subject.

"We're not worried about that. We know you can handle it."

"What we're really curious about is when you and Jennifer plan to invite us to your wedding."

"I heard from your mother that you've already confessed your feelings."

"So... did Jennifer turn you down?"

"And how's that sweater coming along?"

The moment the sweater was mentioned, Titus blushed.

"When I first started learning, I knitted whenever I had free time."

"But Jennifer kept complaining that I was neglecting my work."

"The company's been incredibly busy lately, so I haven't touched it in a while."

"I haven't even finished one sweater yet."

Originally, he had planned to finish the sweater before confessing to Jennifer and give it to her as his confession gift.

Instead, his mother and master had pushed him into confessing early.

The sweater wasn't even halfway done.

Zachary chuckled.

"Take your time. Since you've already started, don't give up."

"We're all looking forward to seeing the finished sweater."

"You have no idea—when your Aunt Seren found out you were knitting one for Jennifer, she almost insisted that I learn to knit too."

"Thankfully, she was only teasing."

He laughed again.

"Now Milo's learning as well. He says he can't let Belle envy Jennifer or your sister."

Ever since the Osborne family's son announced he was learning to knit a sweater for Avah, Milo had followed suit, determined to knit a sweater filled with love for Belle as well.
