Ch. 5503: Married at First Sight Chapter 5503

Chapter 5503

Titus said with a hint of embarrassment, “I haven’t finished knitting it yet. I’ve been busy lately and haven’t had time to keep working on it. I’ll try to finish it once things settle down.

Hopefully, I can finish it before winter and give it to Jennifer. If Milo and Hendrix want to learn, they should. If I can learn to knit a sweater for Jennifer, they can learn to knit one for Belle and Avah.

When you truly love someone, you’re willing to do anything for them, no matter what it is.”

That was exactly how Titus felt. He genuinely loved Jennifer and was willing to do anything for her.

No one around him knew how to knit, but after Avah casually suggested it, he took her words to heart and actually learned.

“Exactly. We elders can tell too. It’s obvious when someone’s feelings are genuine.”

When it came to his beloved daughter’s future happiness, Zachary had incredibly high standards for his future son-in-law.

If Milo’s feelings had even the slightest hint of insincerity, Zachary would never approve of him and Belle being together.

Milo had adored Belle since childhood. He once told his best friend that he would marry her one day. Over the years, he stayed true to those words, loving, cherishing, and spoiling her every step of the way.

The York and Bucham families had been close friends for generations and knew each other well. The Bucham elders openly supported Milo’s feelings for Belle, while the York family simply observed. They neither encouraged nor discouraged the relationship, allowing the two children to grow naturally.

Still, Milo could be possessive. Belle rarely had other men around her. No matter how exceptional someone was, getting close to her was nearly impossible because Milo was exceptionally skilled at keeping potential rivals away.

Even Ben hadn’t been that capable. Although he had fallen for Jane early on, he failed to keep his rivals at bay, giving her the chance to date other men. After she was dumped and pressured by her adoptive mother to marry, Jane hired Ben to pretend to be her boyfriend.

Ben’s possessive and calculating side only surfaced after Jane took the initiative to pursue him.

Milo was different. He had been guarding against rivals since childhood. As a result, Belle was almost impossible for any young man to approach outside of her own family. That was due not only to the York family’s protection but also to Milo’s unwavering vigilance.

At the same time, Milo was extremely disciplined. He ignored every admirer and never gave anyone the slightest opportunity.

Both families were known for their unwavering devotion in marriage. Growing up in that environment, Milo valued loyalty above all else. He expected Belle to be just as devoted because he held himself to the very same standard.

“How’s Belle doing at FC & Co.? Has she adjusted? Avah has incredibly high expectations. I wonder if Belle can keep up.”

Titus asked about Belle’s recent situation.

“Ever since she started working, she hardly calls me anymore. She hasn’t even posted on social media. I have no idea how she’s doing. Sometimes I text her, and it takes forever for her to reply. She always says she’s busy.”

Titus had always loved and doted on both Avah and Belle since they were children.

Back then, Ben and Zachary had both been wary of him, worried that he might steal away their precious daughters someday.

Fortunately, Titus loved Jennifer. He treated Avah like his own sister and saw Belle as nothing more than the girl next door.

They cared deeply for one another and spoiled each other, but there had never been any romantic feelings between them.

That was a huge relief for Ben and Zachary, the two devoted fathers.

“She’s busy, but she’s adapting well. Our Belle isn’t spoiled. She’s capable and hardworking. She’s just younger, and her brother is even more capable. Otherwise, she would’ve followed Avah’s path and become the family’s female heir.”

As Zachary spoke about his daughter, his face was filled with pride and affection.

“Avah is very pleased with Belle. Belle said she’s learned so much working at FC & Co. If she didn’t have to continue her studies, she’d want to stay there and work forever.”
